Genmab has stopped enrolling patients in an early-stage clinical trial for an experimental cancer drug it gained through the acquisition of ProfoundBio in April 2024 for €1.52 billion. This pause underscores a broader reshaping of its oncology strategy.

epcoritamab trial

Last week, Genmab and AbbVie hit a setback with epcoritamab, after the bispecific T-cell-engaging antibody failed to deliver a survival benefit in a phase 3 study in relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The EPCORE DLBCL-1 trial missed its primary endpoint of overall survival, the partners said on Friday. JJP Biologics reports positive Phase I

JJP Biologics has announced positive top-line results from a Phase I clinical trial of JJP-1212, its first-in-class anti-CD89 antagonist being developed for IgA-mediated inflammatory diseases. The data validate the programme’s safety and biological activity and clear the way for Phase II studies starting later this year.

Amsterdam-based UniQure NV’s stocks made a 240% after-hours jump at Nasdaq after the company announced its Huntington gene therapy AMT-130 met the endpoints of a Phase II study and it will apply for marketing authorisation next year. In addition, UniQure entered into a US$175m non-dilutive senior secured term loan facility with Hercules Capital and commenced a US$200m underwritten public offering of its ordinary shares to prepare a BLA in Q1 2026.
