Preview: Drug Delivery Services
Although smart drug delivery accounts for only 10% of drug development costs, significant efforts have been made to optimise drug properties such as solubility, stability and release kinetics, while developing strategies to overcome biological barriers and improve drug delivery to the target site, thereby minimising off-target toxicities. In the next generation of drug delivery solutions, AI-driven nanorobots will recognise physiological microenvironments to deliver targeted medicines, promising to expand the therapeutic index of inherently toxic modalities.
