BIOSPAIN 2023
The Spanish Association of Biocompanies (AseBio), with the collaboration of Biocat, the Barcelona City Council and the Generalitat de Catalunya, is organizing BIOSPAIN in Barcelona from September 26 to 28, 2023, one of the largest biotechnology events in Europe. BIOSPAIN celebrates this year its 20th anniversary as a complete showcase of the of the industry’s potential. We bring together more than 850 innovative organisations and firms working in the fields of health, sustainable agri-food and industrial transformation in the quest to find solutions against climate change, disease and other address other health and societal challenges. In previous editions, more than 1,500 professionals from 30 different countries have attended the event. We also hosted 200 exhibitors and more than 50 national and international investors. In this edition, one of the objectives is to demonstrate how biotechnology, in addition to addressing health challenges, also strives to address climate change, a fundamental aspect of our daily lives, thanks to the development of more resistant and sustainable crops, new sources of protein or alternatives to fossil fuels, among other solutions. A full program consisting of more than 40 outbreak sessions will delve into the potential of biotechnology in the solution of key challenges to our society. BIOSPAIN 2023 will promote new business and partnership opportunities, helping existing companies or future start-ups, to explore the ecosystem and potential prospects in Barcelona, Spain’s main bioindustry hub.
