YposKesi: Bioproduction specialist

YposKesi, developer of gene and cell therapy products for rare diseases, has appointed Alain Lamproye as its CEO. Lamproye, an expert in industrial bioproduction, most recently served as Chairman of the BioPharma Business Unit of Novasep’s Belgian gene therapy subsidiary.

YposKesi was created in November 2016 by the nonprofit organisation AFM-Téléthon and the SPI fund managed by Bpifrance. The company’s new head holds a Master of Sciences from the University of Liège. Before Novasep, Lamproye worked for 9 years in pharmaceutical operations at Merck Serono, where he held various managerial positions. Prior to that, he worked as GMP Production Director at Eurogentec  for 14 years.
