Mr. Pollano has more than 25 years of industry experience, including senior management positions in global CDMOs. Federico Pollano succeeds Dr. Christoph Winterhalter, who has left the company to pursue other challenges.

Prior to joining Rentschler Biopharma, Federico Pollano was Global Director Contract Manufacturing and Business Development at Polpharma Biologics. During this time, he built up the CDMO business and was responsible for in- and out-licensing platform technologies and building a large cell culture facility. Before joining Polpharma, Pollano was Managing Director at Richter-Helm-BioTec and Executive Manager Pharmaceuticals at Helm Pharmaceuticals. He was instrumental in the successful repositioning of Richter-Helm-BioTec from CMO to a company with its own process development. Federico Pollano studied biology at the University of Bielefeld and at the German Primate Center in Göttingen.
