She followed Jean-Marc Renard, MaaT-CBO since last year. He gave up this position, but he will continue to advise the French company. Bernal will lead the business and corporate development activities, from the clinical stage company with focus on microbiome-therapeutics. She came from Adocia. There she was responsible for out-licensing deals and R&D collaborations with major biopharmaceutical companies. She led cross-functional teams and contributed to the company’s strategic decisions on its drug development programs ranging from preclinical to Phase 3 studies. Before this she served at e(ye)Brain, and was a Senior Consultant in the Life Sciences division of Ernst and Young in Paris. Bernal studied Cognitive Neuroscience (PhD) and Cognitive Science (Master).
