At the beginning of the year, Abionyx Pharma announced the appointment of Dr Rob Scott as Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research and Development. He brings extensive experience in clinical development and regulatory affairs to the biotech company based in France and the US. Prior to joining Abionyx, Scott spent over thirty years in senior positions in the global pharmaceutical industry and biotech companies including J&J, Pfizer, Amgen. Most recently, Scott served as Chief Medical Officer at AbbVie and retired. There he also founded the Development Design Center, a centre of excellence focused on using predictive analytics and big data to design and conduct better clinical trials. Scott was a member of the FDA Advisory Committee on Cardiac and Renal Drugs and served on the Endocrine & Metabolic Committee from 2012 to 2016.
