
New CEO took over the reins
At the beginning of September, Jonathan M. Pratt succeeded Thierry Bernard as CEO of Qiagen N.V. Bernard had led the biotech pioneer for nearly seven years.
New Qiagen CEO Johnathan M. Pratt brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience in the life sciences, laboratory technologies, and healthcare sectors to the Netherlands-based holding company. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of the Filtration Group, which he led until the sale to Parker-Hannifin was completed in August 2026. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of the Waters Division at Waters Corporation and as President of Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, a Danaher company. Pratt also held various leadership positions at Pall Corporation.
Throughout his career, he has been responsible for global business units in the fields of analytics, laboratory technologies, software, consumables, services, and bioprocess technology. His areas of expertise include, in particular, business management, portfolio management, operational leadership, and organizational development.
Pratt holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Reading and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Outgoing CEO Thierry Bernard will support the transition until the end of the year.
