New at Polyplus-transfection
French Polyplus-transfection SA named Mario Philips as new CEO. He succeeds Karsten Wilking, now a Strategic Advisor of the biotech company, specialist for innovative transfection solutions to support the gene and cell therapy market.
Since more than 20 years, Philips is working in the Life Sciences and Bioprocessing sector. He comes from Polyneuros, where he served as CEO. The French biotech company develops kits for the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Prior that he was also a Strategic Partner at Lyon-based investment firm AchiMed, and he served as Vice President and General Manager of Pall Biotech and ATMI Life Sciences. Philips got a degree in Marketing and Biochemistry Engineering.
Polyplus has also named Dr Andreas Rummelt and Jean-Paul Mangeolle to its Board of Directors. Rummelt is currently the CEO and Partner of the Swiss management consulting firm InterPharmaLink AG. Mangeolle was President of the SCIEC Group, a Danaher unit, and prior that Executive Vice President with Merck KGaA. And he is cofounder of Boston-based Petri Bio, that supports and advises founders in life sciences.
