Enzymatica CEO steps down
The CEO of Lund-based Enzymatica AB, Claus Egstrand, is stepping down from his role. CFO Therese Filmersson will also leave her position. The process of finding their successors has already begun.
Swedish company Enzymatica has to look for a new leadership: CEO Claus Engstrand and CFO Therese Filmersson resign. Following the publication of the strong research results for ColdZyme in February this year, efforts have intensified to sign international distribution agreements. In order to ensure longer term continuity in these discussions and partnerships, Egstrand has decided to step down from his position as CEO of Enzymatica. “After eight years at the company, four of them as CEO, I feel this is the right time to hand over operational responsibility to a new CEO whom will drive the company’s international growth for the next few years,” says Egstrand. The Nomination Committee of Enzymatica intends to propose him as a new member of the company’s Board of Directors. The proposal has already the support of a clear majority of shareholders.
Egstrand will remain in his role as CEO until a successor has been appointed and assumed the position.
With the resignation of CFO Therese Filmersson, the position of CFO will also become vacant. This decision was made at the end of June by mutual agreement between Filmersson and the company’s Board of Directors. She will remain in her position during the notice period to ensure a smooth transition.
