Anders Tegnell joins WHO
The Swedish chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell plans to move to the World Health Organisation (WHO) in Geneva.
When the current appointment procedere has been successfully completed he shalls to coordinate the cooperation between Unicef and the vaccine organisation Gavi. The aim is to deliver Corona vaccines also to countries that have no financial means to buy the vaccines. The doctor of infectious diseases has already worked for the WHO in Laos, where he was involved in vaccine programmes.
