SLAS Europe 2026 – Recap and Outlook

SLAS Europe 2026 in Vienna brought together over 1,500 delegates for three days of innovation and collaboration. As we look ahead, join us at upcoming Meet-Ups in Leiden and Tübingen, and mark your calendars for SLAS2027 in San Diego, California.

The seventh European conference delivered on its promise to be “limitless” by exceeding 1,500 delegates at the Vienna Congress & Convention Center for three days of science and collaboration. The opening keynote by Willem Mulder, Ph.D., Professor of Precision Medicine at Radboud University Medical Center and Eindhoven University of Technology, drew standing-room-only crowds.

The exhibition featured 137 exhibitors presenting new technologies, services, and products. The Innovation AveNEW featured 12 start-ups, giving them a chance to connect with industry and potential collaborators and customers.

Both Technology Provider Showcases at the Vienna BioCenter sold out, with delegates eager to experience science in action through interactive presentations, equipment demonstrations, and facility tours. These immersive sessions highlighted Vienna’s strong research and startup ecosystem, and the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.

Finally, SLAS Europe 2026 was awarded the City of Vienna Green Meeting Certificate. The award recognizes events that are environmentally friendly and sustainably organized. SLAS is proud to have achieved this certification.

SLAS Meet-Ups are free networking events for our regional communities to connect, share insights, and strengthen the European life sciences community between major conferences.

SLAS European Regional Meet-Up: Leiden takes place on 10 September in Leiden, Netherlands, followed by SLAS European Regional Meet-Up: Tübingen on 20 October in Tübingen, Germany. Visit slas.org/events-calendar/ to register and learn more about each Meet-Up’s agenda.

Looking Ahead to 2027

The flagship SLAS2027 International Conference & Exhibition will take place in San Diego, California, from 30 January to 3 February 2027.
