Annual general meeting in Vienna

Next to the usual agenda items; the discharge of the board members, the approval of the an­nual report and presentation by the au­ditors, President Peter Llewellyn-Davies, Treasurer Reinhard Kandera and Secre­tary Georg Casari presented a review of the past year. Over 20 events took place: workshops, lunches, the traditional Bio­tech Circle Austria and the annual con­ference Biotech Summit Austria in Inns­bruck. This year’s Biotech Summit will take place in Graz and hopes to be just as suc­cessful as the previous events. Two new board members were appointed, Guido Gualdoni and Thomas Moser. Finally, members of the Strategy Working Groups presented the issues being focused on by BIOTECH AUSTRIA in the coming years: Financing and Capital Markets, the EU Biotech Act, Infra­structure and Collabo­ration with Universities.
