French pharma giant Servier is spending US$2.5bn to snap up Day One Biopharmaceuticals, gaining a key approved drug for difficult childhood brain tumours along with several promising pipeline candidates.

On January 4, the French pharma group Servier and the AI drug discovery Insilico Medicine announced a collaboration worth up to $888 million. Insilico will receive up to $32 million from Servier for a multi-year research and development collaboration to discover and develop oncology therapies using Insilico’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven drug discovery platform and Servier’s cancer development expertise.
In a US$450m deal with UK-based Kaerus Bioscience Ltd, Servier SA has acquired the development and commercialisation rights to KER-0193, a Phase II-ready drug candidate for the treatment of rare Fragile X syndrome, the most common monogenic cause of autism.
