Faron Pharmaceuticals has someone new to oversee its drug development strategy. In early May, the Turku-based clinical stage biopharma company appointed Matti Karvonen as its new Medical Director.
Karvonen holds a PhD in neuroendocrinology, obesity and cardiovascular disease from the University of Turku as well as an MD and an eMBA. He previously served as Roches Medical Lead, Europe, and has also worked for Biogen Idec, Novartis and Terveystalo.
