To tackle climate change, the chemical and material industries must defossilise by exploring alternative, i.e. renewable, carbon sources. The focus of the Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) are renewable chemicals and materials that are bio-based, come from CO₂-capture & utilisation, or recycling. The RMC will spotlight innovations, technologies, materials, chemicals and products in 12 main and parallel sessions, which cover critical areas such as the future of the chemical & plastics industry, circular economy, certification, and many more.
This year over 500-600 participants are expected to attend. In about 80 presentations, 20 panel discussions and several expert workshops, speakers from world-renowned companies, pioneering start-ups, high-profile researchers and high-level politicians will present and discuss a wide range of innovative solutions.
A highlight of the event is the innovation award, sponsored by Covestro. The six nominated companies will introduce their innovation in short pitches. Afterwards, the audience will vote for the “Renewable Material of the Year 2024”.
