Modern forms of digitalisation and automation are finding their way into pharmaceutical production. Artificial intelligence (AI), IoT (Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 are playing an increasingly important role. Taking this development into account, the PharmaCongress 2025 on 8/9 April in the RheinMain Congress Center in Wiesbaden also offers two tracks dedicated to these topics: Digitalisation & Artificial Intelligence and Trends in Barrier Systems & Robotics. Due to the wide range of possible applications of automation, digitalisation, AI, and robotics, these will also be addressed and explored in greater depth in the other six conference tracks Aseptic Technologies/Annex 1, Cleanroom Challenges, Sustainability/Green GMP, Single-Use Systems, ATMPs and Medical Cannabis, in presentations and case studies. In addition to the presentations during the conferences, exhibitors at the accompanying GMP PharmaTechnica Expo will provide insights into the possibilities and practical application of modern technologies in around 15 live demonstrations.
On 8th April the congress will kick off with a keynote speech on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Manufacturing and Quality at Sanofi” by Dr Maite Durrenbach, Chief Quality Officer at Sanofi and responsible for R&D, Industrial Affairs and Commercial Activities. On 9 April, Dr Ranjita Sahoo, Chief Pharma Officer (CPO) at DiHeSys, will open the second congress day with a keynote speech on “Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Reinvented: The 3D Printing Process and other New Technologies”.
At the PharmaTechnica Expo, delegates as well as expo visitors are invited to learn more about product innovations and to discuss the latest technologies with the close to 120 exhibitors. Further, at the expo the new winner of the Professor Wallhäußer Innovation Award will be presented in a special ceremony.
With eight two-day conference tracks, the large expo featuring the Professor Wallhäußer Innovation Award ceremony, and a social event, the GMP PharmaCongress & GMP PharmaTechnica Expo offer an event not to be missed.
