Seasoned CSO takes the helm

Following the appointments of Ben Ash as Chief Financial Officer and Henny Zijlstra as Chief Commercial Officer in May, Ardena, has further strengthened its management team by appointing Ariane de Ganck as Chief Scientific Officer. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in oncology and protein biology.

De Ganck brings a strong track record to her new role. Within Ardena, she has held several leadership positions, including Head of the Drug Product division since 2022 and, most recently, Chief Commercial Officer. Since joining Ardena in 2019, she has overseen the company’s drug product operations, led the successful acquisition and integration of the Ardena Pamplona site, and supported the expansion of its development capabilities into aseptic fill-and-finish services.

In her new position, she will be responsible for the Science & Technology, Project Management, and CMC Regulatory Affairs functions of the specialist contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) and bioanalytical contract research organization (CRO).

Before joining Ardena, de Ganck worked at Biogazelle, a CRO specializing in biomarker discovery and diagnostics that was later successfully acquired by CellCarta. She has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, developing talent, building strong internal and external networks, and maintaining a customer-centric approach.
