Icon plc: Rising through the ranks
Irish drug developer Icon plc has announced that, come March 2017, Steve Cutler will take over the leadership of the company. He succeeds Ciaran Murray, who will in turn transition to the role of Chairman of the Board.
Cutler joined Icon in 2011 as President Clinical Research Services. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2014. He was appointed to the Board of Directors in November 2015.
Prior to joining Icon, Cutler was Chief Executive Officer of CRO Kendle. Before that, he held various senior roles in both Quintiles and Sandoz (now Novartis). Cutler holds a B.Sc. and a Ph.D from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Birmingham.
