EuropaBio: Regulatory experience

The European biotech industry association EuropaBio has named John Brennan as its new Secretary General. The life sciences expert will take over his new position in June. 

Brennan has over 25 years’ experience both on the regulator and the industrial sides of the healthcare industry.

Brennan has been with MedTech Europe, the medical technology trade association, since 2008, where he held the post of Director Regulations and Industrial Policy. Before that he spent four years at the European Commission working in the Unit responsible for the European Cosmetics and Medical devices legislation. Prior to coming to Brussels, Brennan worked in the Irish National Standards Authority, NSAI. After graduation, he began his career in the industry with six years’ experience spanning the in vitro diagnostic, pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
